JozzBeat Music Publishing was established in 1998 and has become one of the leading publishers of Primary School Music Resources in Australia. Now also providing quality resources across New Zealand and Canada (in late 2008) we are pleased that our products are proving universally beneficial to both teachers and students in Primary Schools.
Our most successful resource, “Jelly Beans! And Other Suites” is now in 500 schools across Australia and we are very proud to release the New Zealand edition for 2008. The eminent Primary Music Educator, Dr. Robyn Trinick of Auckland University has written the Teachers Handbook which links with Achievement Objectives of Levels 1 – 4 in the Music component of the New Zealand Arts Curriculum. We look forward to the Jelly Beans Resource and all of our Primary Music Resources assisting New Zealand schools in providing quality music in their classrooms.

| Andrew Robertson |
Having graduated from the NSW Conservatorium of Music (Sydney) in 1991 Andrew has followed a career as a professional jazz musician, composer/arranger and educator. As a woodwind specialist he has performed with such diverse artists as Michael Buble, John Farnham, Bobby Shew, Jim Pugh (Steely Dan), James Morrison, the Sydney All Star Big Band, Emma Pask, Tom Burlinson, Don Burrows and Broadway Musicals such as The Producers, Crazy For You, Chicago, West Side Story, Dusty, Hugh Jackman's The Boy From Oz etc. He has performed in a professional capacity in S.E. Asia, New Zealand, England, Canada & Finland.
He also recorded many jingles for television and his playing is heard nightly on Australian and New Zealand television through ads for Toyota, Suncorp, Landcruiser, Mortein, Riva Coffee, and many others.
Apart from being published with JozzBeat Andrew also has number of pieces published in The USA and Europe by other publishing companies such as de Haske/Hal Leonard and Grand Mesa Music.
Andrew is one of the busiest freelance commercial arrangers in Australia having arranged for Australian Idol (2003-7), The Sydney Opera House 30th Birthday Gala Concert, concerts involving the Sydney and Adelaide Symphony Orchestras, Eurovision Song Contest, television ads, the 2006 Channel 9 Theme Song, and many others.
Andrew is also heavily involved with music education and conducts workshops and lectures throughout Australia for primary and secondary music students and music teachers on the "Jelly Beans!" resources and improvisation in the classroom environment.
He has also been Artist-in-Residence at the James Cook University, lecturing on jazz improvisation, arranging and big band conducting. Andrew is also an International Association for Jazz Education registered clinician.

| Steve Peacock |
Prior to founding his independent consulting firm - Peacock Digital, in which he consults for the acceleration of businesses of all types, Steve spent 12 years in the IT and Innovation industry in Australia with 4 years dedicated to creating and developing the Interactive Publishing division for the John B. Fairfax Group of companies called IPMG. In this role he also led the development of the Digital Business strategy for some of Australia's most successful brands including Harvey Norman's Domayne Furniture, WinePros (Len Evans and James Halliday), BBC Hardwarehouse, PropertyPath, AGSEI, Government Radio Network, and GWS (Greater Western Sydney).
Earlier career experiences were in executive engineering, project operations, and construction management for some of the Real Property giants in New York City. Steve has held executive or engineering management posts with such prestigious Property Developers as Bankers Trust Corp, The Chrysler Building Complex Corp, Park Avenue Plaza, The Waldorf Astoria (Hilton Hotels), and 9 West 43rd Street (Trump/Tishman/Spyer/Silverstein).
Steve is a Certified Personnel Consultant in Massachusetts where he assisted in the development of Applied Resources Inc. a highly successful Executive Engineering Recruiting firm in Boston and has served as a consultant/trainer to this industry in Europe. Steve was a Certified/ Licensed Engineer in New York. His University work was at New York University. He regularly attends or has spoken at Internet related seminars, courses, and exhibitions in the USA and Australia and was closing keynote at the 2001 AUS/NZ eBusiness Summit.

| Tracy Burjan |
|
Tracy graduated from the Conservatorium High School in 1980 on the clarinet, piano and composition, which she studied with Ross Edwards. She continued her studies learning singing and jazz harmony. Tracy has played and sung with many bands including Reel Matilda, Kith and Kin (an Irish band) and Hey ba-ba-re-bop, a 9 piece swing band, which she lead with her husband Paul. More recently she has been singing with girl group Angel Cantata for which she does all the arrangements.
Working with people in a creative field is her forte and she has written, directed, appeared in and composed the music for 5 short films for Tropp Fest. She is currently working on a family musical and has written a number of musicals for schools.
One of her works “The High Road” (recently published by JozzBeat) will be performed at the Opera House this year in conjunction with the NSW Dept. of Education Festival of Instrumental Music by 3000 students.
After the birth of her 3 children she became interested in children’s music education and has been enjoying writing music and teaching children in schools for the past 12 years.

| Phil Hayter |
Phil Hayter, BMus, BEd (Grad) is a Melbourne based music educator and musician. He has been professionally active as a jazz musician since his years as an undergraduate student in Queensland. Phil is also a well rounded performer with wide-ranging experiences as a multi-instrumentalist in the rock and contemporary classical idioms. He completed his music performance and education studies in 2004 and has since continued his performance career in Kuala Lumpur as a freelance saxophonist as well as the Northern Territory and Melbourne. Phil has worked as a multi instrumental music teacher and band director in Central Australia where he developed and implemented a percussion program for the Northern Territory Music School.
Phil currently teaches in several Melbourne schools.
Phil Hayter is passionate about composing for his students in a bid to see them motivated by music that appeals to their individual tastes. His extensive travels throughout South-East Asia have influenced his approach to composition as he draws upon his broad range of experiences with both contemporary and traditional style musicians. Phil was the guest artist for the International Music House in Kuching, Malaysia where he collaborated with local musicians and educators to develop a performance showcasing a hybrid musical style of modern jazz and traditional Malay music. He has been composing for as long as he can remember. |
